ROHNERT PARK – Cal State L.A.'s women's tennis team put up a better battle on Friday at Sonoma State, but still came up short in a California Collegiate Athletic Association match with the Seawolves.
 
 
The Golden Eagles managed only a singles point from 
Adriana Espinosa and fell to Sonoma State, 8-1, Friday. Cal State L.A. (3-6, 2-4 CCAA) lost its second straight match.
 
 
Espinosa, though, was a bright spot as she defeated Molly Maguire of Sonoma State, 6-4, 6-0, at No. 3 singles. Cal State L.A. lost tight matches at two other spots. 
Bojana Ducanovic lost a 6-2, 7-6 decision at No. 1 singles to Stephanie Luk, while 
Lana Lamesic lost at No. 2 singles to Dana Carollo, 4-6, 7-5, 10-3.
 
 
Cal State L.A. will conclude its three-match road trip with a conference match at Cal State Stanislaus on Saturday.
