Summary

Biography

2022: Had another outstanding season in her final year with the program. Appeared in 20 games and started all of them. Played a total of 940 minutes. Was one of the team leaders and a main reason Cal State LA finished third in the CCAA and won its first California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament title since 2014. An outstanding student as well, earned 2022 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. For her career, appeared in 58 games with 40 starts. Played a total of 2,258 minutes. Had one goal for two points.

2021: Had her best season yet with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 17 games and started in all of them. Played a total of 867 minutes, which was a career high. Scored one goal for two points. Got her first career goal in the opening stages of a 3-1 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 22. Scored just 1:13 into the match with assists from Lauren Sanchez and Erin Schrock. Played a career-high 90 minutes in games at Biola on Sept. 14 and at Azusa Pacific on Sept. 18.

2020: Earned 2020-21 CCAA honors. Team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Showed impressive improvement and made bigger contributions for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 12 games and started twice. Played a total of 245 minutes. Made her season debut and played 18 minutes in a 2-1 win at Stanislaus State on Sept. 27. Got her first start of the year and played a season-high 38 minutes at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 17. Also got a start and played 27 minutes in a 0-0 tie at Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 20.

2018: Saw her first playing time with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in nine games with one start. Played a total of 206 minutes. Made her Cal State LA debut in a 2-0 win over Azusa Pacific on Aug. 30. Made her first career start in a 1-0 victory at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 13. Played a season-high 49 minutes at UC San Diego on Oct. 19.

2017: Did not compete in any games in her first year with the program and was a redshirt.

At Cathedral High School: Set a school record for most assists in a season and earned first-team All-Desert Valley League honors and second-team All-Desert Valley League honors. Was a CIF All-Star and earned the team’s Most Valuable Player and Golden Boot awards. Also competed in track and field and was the Desert Valley League’s MVP and Sprinter of the Year. Was also the team MVP.

Personal: Daughter of Amy Gunderson. Graduated with a degree in psychology and is currently in a post-baccalaureate program in women’s studies. Enjoys binge-watching TV shows. Lists beating Cal Poly Pomona in double overtime at home in 2021 and breaking the school and conference record for most assists in a season at Cathedral High School as her most exciting experiences in sports. Notes she is a member of the National Honors Society.
