Cal State LA Athletics

2022: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Appeared in 19 games with six starts. Played a total off 537 minutes. Was tied for fourth on the team in scoring with two goals and one assist for five points. Notched her first career goal with the game-winner late in the first half off a 1-0 victory over Biola on Sept. 14. Had her best game for the Golden Eagles with a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Cal Poly Pomona in a first-round California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament game on Oct. 30. Sent in a cross that was headed in by Liliana Gonzalez for the first goal in the 12^th minute and then headed in a rebound of a shot off the post in the 14^th minute. Played a season-high 46 minutes in a 2-1 win over Sonoma State on Oct. 14. For her career, appeared in 36 games with eight starts. Played a total of 1,091 minutes. Had two goals and two assists for six points.

2021: Made important contributions for the Golden Eagles in her first year of competition with the program. Appeared in 17 games with two starts. Played a total of 554 minutes. Had one assist. Made her Cal State LA debut and played 24 minutes in a 1-1 tie at Concordia on Sept. 4. Made her first career start and played 28 minutes at Point Loma on Sept. 9. Made her second start and played 25 minutes at Biola. Picked up her assist, on a goal by Kaelah Basurto, in a 2-1 win over Stanislaus State on Oct. 10. Played a season-high 54 minutes at Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 24. Successfully converted her penalty kick try to help Cal State LA advance past San Francisco State in a shootout in a California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament first-round game on Nov. 7 after a 1-1 tie. Earned 2021 CCAA Fall Honor Roll recognition.

2020: Team did not compete due to COVID-19 in her first year with the program.

At Cypress College: Earned second-team All-Orange Empire Conference honors as a sophomore after being second on the team in scoring with 11 goals and nine assists for 31 points. Earned first-team All-Conference honors after leading the team in scoring with nine goals and nine assists for 27 points as a freshman. Earned Dean’s List honors and graduated with honors.

At Cypress High School: Earned All-CIF honors as well as first-team All-League recognition. Was the team’s Most Valuable Player and the league’s Co-Most Valuable Player. Team was a runner-up in CIF and also reached the regional semi-finals.

Personal: Daughter of Robert and Halette Patea. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys videography, training little kids and watching the Arsenal play. Lists winning the conference championship at Cypress College – the first title in 10 years - as her most exciting experience in sports.
