Summary

Biography

2022: Had another impressive season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Appeared in all 21 games with 17 starts. Played a total of 921 minutes and was one of the most reliable players on the team. Had two assists and two points. Had one of the biggest plays of the season when she sent beautiful left-footed pass to Melody Landphear, who scored the lone goal early in the second half of a 1-0 victory over Sonoma State in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament championship game. Had her other assist against Sonoma State as well in a 2-1 win for the Golden Eagles on Oct. 14. Played a season-high 63 minutes in a 0-0 tie against Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 23. Was a consistent contributor and played 32 or more minutes in 19 of 21 games. An outstanding student, earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators. Earned a 2022-23 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award and 2022-23 CCAA All-Academic honors. Also earned 2022 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. For her career, appeared in 56 games with 37 starts. Had two goals and four assists for eight points.

2021: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in all 19 games and started 16 times. Played a total of 915 minutes. Had two assists and two points. Played a career-high 65 minutes in a 1-1 tie at Concordia on Sept. 4. Got an assist on a game-tying goal by Irma Pinzon in the 82nd minute. Had an assist on a goal by Miyah Coleman just 1:13 into a 3-1 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 22. Played 51 minutes in both Golden Eagle games in the CCAA Tournament. Earned 2021-22 CCAA All-Academic honors and received 2021 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition.

2020: Earned 2020-21 CCAA All-Academic honors and also received 2020 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. Team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Had a strong season for the Golden Eagles in her first year with the program. Appeared in 16 games and started four times. Played a total of 468 minutes. Had two goals and four points. Tied for fourth on the team in goals scored and was tied for fifth in points. Scored game-winning goals in back-to-back games and earned CCAA Player of the Week honors for the week of Sept. 23-29. Scored what turned out to be the game-winner in the 31st minute of a 2-1 win over Stanislaus State on Sept. 27. Followed that up by scoring the only goal of the game in the 66th minute of a 1-0 victory over Chico State on Sept. 29. Made her Cal State LA debut and got her first start in a 2-1 win at Biola on Sept. 5. Played 27 minutes in the game. Played a season-high 42 minutes in a 1-0 victory at Sonoma State in a first-round NCAA playoff game on Nov. 22. Played 41 minutes against Western Washington in a second-round NCAA playoff game on Nov. 24. Received 2019-20 CCAA All-Academic honors.

At West Covina High School: Was the school’s Female Athlete of the Year as a senior. Was the league Most Valuable Player as a junior and a team MVP as a junior and senior. Earned first-team All-League honors three times and was an Offensive MVP as a junior.

Personal: Daughter of Javier and Alicia Sanchez. Majoring in communicative disorders. Enjoys going to the beach and snowboarding. Lists winning in double overtime against Cal Poly Pomona to make it into the CCAA Tournament as her most exciting experience in
