Summary

Biography

2016: Had a third strong season for Cal State LA’s indoor team. Appeared in 15 matches and played a total of 30 sets. Recorded 24 kills, 24 blocks and 37.5 points. Had a season-high four kills in just seven swings in a four-set win over Chaminade on Sept. 8. Had a season-high six blocks in a three-set win over Fresno Pacific on Sept. 10. Also had five blocks in a three-set win over UC San Diego on Oct. 11. Had four blocks, including two solo, to go along with a season-high four kills in a four-set win over Chaminade on Sept. 8.

2015: Had a second outstanding season for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 24 matches and played a total of 69 sets. Was seventh on the team in kills with 53 and fifth on the team with 37 blocks. Had a career-high seven kills and two blocks in a four-set win against Cal State San Marcos on Oct. 10 and also had seven kills with one block in a three-set win against Azusa Pacific on Oct. 14. Had four kills in just eight swings to go along with three blocks against Cal State San Bernardino on Nov. 13.

2014: Made a big impact for the Golden Eagles in her first season on the court. Was second on the team in blocks with 85 and shared the team lead in block assists with 80. Was fifth on the team in kills with 66. Appeared in all 25 matches and all 97 sets. Had a season-high 11 blocks to go along with three kills in a five-set win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 30. Had a season-high six kills in a four-set match at San Francisco State on Oct. 17.

2013: Joined the Cal State L.A. program, but did not compete in any games and was a redshirt.

At Whittier High School: Earned first-team All-Del Rio League honors as a senior. Previously earned second-team All-League honors and honorable mention All-League recognition.

Personal: Daughter of Bertha Alcaraz. Majoring in communications/public relations. Enjoys reading, traveling and working out. Lists playing Hawaii in Reno, Nevada and placing eighth in the gold division as her most exciting experiences in sports.  Is a co-Vice President of Cal State L.A.’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
