Cal State LA Athletics

2016: Battled injuries through her second season with Cal State LA’s indoor program and was sidelined after Oct. 8. Appeared in 12 matches and a total of 23 sets. Had two kills, 22 digs, two blocks and one service ace. Had two blocks in a three-set match against Western State on Sept. 2. Earned a California Collegiate Athletic Association Fall All-Academic Award.

2015: Made some positive contributions for the Golden Eagles in her freshman season at Cal State LA. Appeared in 23 matches and a total of 36 sets. Recorded 16 kills, six service aces, 38 digs, and four blocks. Had a season-high four kills and a season-high 10 digs in three sets of a win at Cal State East Bay on Oct. 3. Had a season-high three service aces in two sets of a win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 29. Earned a CCAA All-Academic Award.

At Arcadia High School: Was a league Most Valuable Player as a junior and senior. Was named the All-Area Player of the Year by the Pasadena Star-News as a senior. Earned All-CIF honors three times. Competed in volleyball and track and field.

Personal: Daughter of Monte and Amy Resch. Majoring in nursing. Enjoys hiking and reading. Lists winning the gold medal at the Junior Olympics when she was 13 years old as her most exciting experience in sports.
