Cal State LA Athletics

2012-13: Had a second outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Appeared in all 32 games and started five times. Played a total of 498 minutes. Averaged 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. Had a season-high 10 points, four rebounds and two steals in a 77-56 win over BYU-Hawaii (12-18-12). Had a career-high seven rebounds and seven points in a 67-53 win over Cal State East Bay in a first-round California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship Tournament game (3-5-13). Had a career-high seven assists to go along with six points and six rebounds at Alaska Anchorage (12-19-12). Picked up the athletic department’s Academic Achievement Award (female) for 2012-13. For her career, appeared in 62 games with 10 starts. Played a total of 912 minutes. Averaged 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.

2011-12: Had a successful first season with the Cal State L.A. program. Appeared in 30 games and started five times for the Golden Eagles. Averaged 2.8 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. Scored a season-high 11 points in a win over Cal Poly Pomona (1-21-12). Had seven points, a season-high six rebounds and a season-high six assists against Northwest Nazarene (11-19-11) in the CCAA/GNAC Classic. Had four points and two rebounds in just eight minutes in CCAA Championship Tournament win at UC San Diego (3-2-12). Earned a CCAA All-Academic Award.

At Orange Coast College: Earned first-team All-Orange Empire Conference honors in 2011 and was a team co-captain. Led the team and the conference in assists with 4.6 per game. Also averaged 9.0 points per game. Earned the team’s Scholar-Athlete award and was on the All-State Academic team in 2010 and 2011.

At Esperanza High School: Earned first-team All-League honors as a junior and senior and was a team captain as a senior. Was the Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year at Esperanza as a junior.

Personal: Daughter of Tim Hanson and Jeff and Alaine Brewer. Majoring in mathematics. Enjoys going to the beach and hanging out with friends. Lists beating UC San Diego at the buzzer in the CCAA Tournament and making it to the NCAA Tournament as her most exciting experiences in sports. Has four siblings: Jen, Nick, Molly and Megan.
