2018: Had another solid season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Had best times of 15.32 in the 110 hurdles and 56.43 in the 400 hurdles. Finished 12th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in both events at the conference championships. For his career, had best times of 15.32 in the 110 hurdles and 56.43 in the 400 hurdles.

2017: Had a strong first season with the Golden Eagles. Finished seventh in the 110 hurdles in the CCAA championships. Also competed in the 400 hurdles. Had best times of 15.58 in the 110 hurdles and 57.85 in the 400 hurdles.

At Esperanza High School: Was the team’s Most Valuable Hurdler/Sprinter three times in high school. Won league championships in the 110 high hurdles and 300 intermediate hurdles, once in frosh/soph and twice at the varsity level. Earned four varsity levels in track and field.

Personal: Son of Darryl and Jo Anne Lightford. Majoring in business-finance. Enjoys writing poems, playing guitar and listening to music. Lists being the only freshman in the conference finals in the 110 hurdles last year as his most exciting experience in sports.
