Cal State LA Athletics

2016: Had another outstanding season in his fourth year with the program. Pressed into duty as a defenseman due to early-season injuries to Cal State LA's back-line, then suffered a season-ending injury himself. Started 11 games before having his season ended in a 1-0 win at Chico State on Oct. 7. Played a total of 806 minutes. Earned a California Collegiate Athletic Association Fall All-Academic Award. For his career, appeared in a total of 70 games with 28 starts. Played a total of 3,344 minutes. Had nine goals and five assists for 23 points.

2015: Had a sensational season and led the Golden Eagles in scoring with eight goals and 16 points. Appeared in all 20 games and started 12 times. Scored two goals three times. Had both goals in the second half of a 2-0 win against Sonoma State on Sept. 18. Had two goals in a 5-0 win over Hawaii-Hilo on Oct. 7 and scored both Cal State LA goals in a CCAA Championship Tournament game at Cal Poly Pomona on Nov. 6. Scored the Golden Eagles’ first goal of the season in a 1-1 tie at Western Washington on Sept. 3 and had the lone goal in the 79^th minute of a 1-0 win at San Francisco State on Oct. 16. Named Cal State LA's  Exceptional Student-Athlete of the Year (male) for 2015-16. Also earned a CCAA All-Academic Award.

2014: Had a second strong season with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 18 games and started the first three contests of the season. Played a total of 542 minutes. Had one assist on the season. Got the assist on a game-winning goal by Herbert Biste late in the first half of a 1-0 victory over San Francisco State on Oct. 12. One of the fastest players on the team, was a consistent scoring threat whenever he was on the field.

2013: Made an immediate impact in his first season of competition with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in all 21 games and made two starts. Played a total of 868 minutes. Had one goal and four assists for six points. His lone goal was a dramatic one, a game-winner in a 1-0 victory over UC San Diego on Sept. 15. Pounced on a turnover in the box and promptly knocked in a shot in the 47^th minute. Made his Cal State L.A. debut in a 3-0 win over Azusa Pacific on Sept. 5 and contributed an assist. Also had an assist in his second game, a 6-1 win over Saint Martin’s. Recorded an assist on the tying goal of an eventual 2-1 win over Cal State San Bernardino on Sept. 29 and had an assist in a 3-2 win at Humboldt State on Oct. 6. Made his first career start in a 1-0 victory at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 25.

2012: Joined the Cal State L.A. program, but did not compete in any games and was a redshirt.

At Fullerton Union High School: Competed in soccer, cross country and track and field. Earned first-team All-Freeway League team honors two times and was the team’s Best Offensive Player and Most Valuable Player. Also earned the Coach’s Award for outstanding effort. Was named the team’s Most Spirited Player in 2010. Received the Donald Cruikshank Scholar-Athlete award and Golden Tassel. Earned a total of 12 scholar-athlete awards during high school career. Received four varsity letters in cross country, three in soccer and two in track and field. .

Personal: Son of Robert and Susan Dumlao. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys hiking, biking, rock climbing and exploring. Lists being invited to try out for the national Under-17 team in soccer, winning the CCAA soccer championship in 2013 and winning the NCAA West Region championship in 2014 as his most exciting experiences in sports.
