Cal State LA Athletics

2012: Had another outstanding season for the Golden Eagles and completed his two-year career. Appeared in 19 games and played a total of 659 minutes. Had one assist for one point. Picked up an assist on a goal by Rosario Bras in a 2-0 win over Cal State East Bay on Sept. 21. Made his season debut and played 28 minutes at Dixie State on Aug. 30. Played a season-high 52 minutes in a 2-2 tie at San Francisco State on Oct. 26. For his career, appeared in 31 games with four starts. Played a total of 1,067 minutes. Had one assist for one point.

2011: Had a solid first season with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 12 games and started four times. Made his first start in Cal State L.A.’s season-opening 6-0 win over Saint Martin’s on Sept. 1. Started the first three games of the season. Also started in a 2-1 win over Cal State Stanislaus on Sept. 16.

At Taft College: Played for two seasons and had a total of two goals and two assists.

At Stockdale High School: Earned All-Area honors in soccer.

Personal: Son of Alfonso and Esperanza Sandoval. Majoring in international business. Enjoys cooking and basketball. Lists the entire NCAA Championship Tournament with Cal State L.A. as his most exciting experience in sports.
