2012: Made positive contributions on the field for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 10 games and played a total of 298 minutes. Had one goal for two points. Scored a goal in the 51st minute to give the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead in an eventual 2-2 tie at San Francisco State on Oct. 26. Made his Cal State LA debut and played 50 minutes at Dixie State on Aug. 30. Played a season-high 57 minutes in a 2-1 win over Northwest Nazarene on Sept. 1.

2011: Did not compete for the Golden Eagles and was a redshirt.

At Cerritos College: Had two successful seasons with the Falcons. Played in 20 games as a sophomore and contributed three assists as a midfielder. Team advanced to the third round of the playoffs. Had two goals and three assists as a freshman.

At Cabrillo High School: Earned first-team All-Moore League honors after scoring 15 goals as a senior. Voted his team’s Offensive Player of the Year. Earned second-team All-League honors as a junior after scoring 12 goals and also earned second-team All-League honors as a sophomore.

Personal: Son of Alfredo and Alma Hernandez. Majoring in engineering. Played for the Chivas USA U-20 team. Once scored four goals in a game against Compton High School.
