Cal State LA Athletics

2012: Had a major impact for the Golden Eagles in his one season with the program. Started all 20 games and played a total of 1,255 minutes. Made his Cal State LA debut and played 63 minutes at Dixie State on Aug. 30. Played a season-high 89 minutes in a second-round NCAA playoff game at Grand Canyon on Nov. 10.

At Cal State Fullerton: Appeared in 49 games in his three seasons with the Titans. Scored his lone goal last season in a 3-0 win over American University on Sept. 16. Saw action in 12 games. Played in all 21 matches in 2010 with 14 starts. Had the assist on a game-winning goal in overtime over UC Santa Barbara on Sept. 29, 2010. Appeared in 16 games in 2009 and started three times.

At Bell Gardens High School: Earned second-team All-League honors and was the team’s Most Improved Player.

Personal: Son of Francisco and Maribel Escobedo. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys working out. Lists winning the State Cup championship as his most exciting experience in sports.
