Cal State LA Athletics

2020: Earned California Collegiate Athletic Association 2020 Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition and 2021 Spring Academic Honor Roll mention. Was on the cross country and track and field (2021) rosters, but teams did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Competed for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall. Ran in seven races and was consistently among the team’s top-four. Finished 72^nd in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a time of 27:59.37 over 8,000 meters. Placed 132^nd in the NCAA West Region Championships with a time of 32:57.0 over 10,000 meters. Was on the track and field roster (2020), but did not compete in any meets before the season was halted. Received 2019-20 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors and was also part of the CCAA 2019 Fall All-Academic and CCAA 2020 Spring All-Academic teams.

At Orange Coast College: Was on a team that placed third in the Orange Empire Conference, seventh in the Southern California meet and eighth at the state championships in cross country in 2016. Earned a first-team All-Conference award in 2017 and placed fourth in the conference in the 10,000 in track with a time of 32:51.

At Rancho Alamitos High School: Was the Most Valuable Player on his cross country team in 2014 and 2015 and the MVP of his track team in 2015. Won a league championship in the two mile in track.

Personal: Son of Pedro and Maria Gaspar. Majoring in electrical engineering. Enjoys playing Apex Legends. Lists running in the NCAA Division II West Regionals as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes he wants to work with Edison after graduation.
