Cal State LA Athletics

2022: Competed in several distance events for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the track and field program. Finished 25th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:33.34. Had best times of 4:21.77 in the 1,500 meters, 9:41.57 in the 3,000, 16:33.34 in the 5,000 and 35:50.20 in the 10,000.

2021: Competed for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall. Ran in three races. Had a best time of 27:39.2 over 8,000 meters while finishing 69^th at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. Also finished 139^th at the NCAA Division II West Region Championships.

At Santa Ana College: Earned the Fair Play Award from the Orange Empire Conference.

At Anaheim High School: Was on a team that won two Orange League championships. Competed in cross country, soccer and track and field.

Personal: Son of Matilde Ramirez. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys running, playing soccer and painting. Lists winning the school’s first team title in cross country in more than 20 years and racing in the state cross country meet at Santa Ana College as his most exciting experiences in sports. Notes he is a leader on the Cal State LA campus and is part of the ASI student government.
