2008-09: Made big contributions once again for the Golden Eagles in his third and final year with the program. Appeared in 26 games and started 10 times. Played a total of 569 minutes and was one of the team's most versatile players. Averaged 4.5 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.Had a season-high 11 points and six rebounds in an 80-70 win over Cal State Monterey Bay (1-9-09). Had 11 points and five rebounds in the next game, a 67-65 win over San Francisco State (1-10-09). Also had 11 points and five rebounds in a 67-49 victory at Chico State (1-17-09). Had a career-high nine rebounds and four points in a 96-55 win over Academy of Art (12-26-08). For his career, appeared in 79 games and started 28 times. Played a total of 1,537 minutes. Averaged 5.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Also had 75 assists and 48 steals.

2007-08: Made impressive strides as a sophomore for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 26 games and started 13 times. Started in 12 of the last 13 games for Cal State L.A. Averaged 6.8 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. Scored a career-high 18 points against UC San Diego (1-12-08) in a wild 111-102 triple-overtime win. Hit three straight free throws after being fouled on a 3-point attempt in the waning seconds of double overtime to send the contest into a third extra session. Also had 16 points against Cal Poly Pomona (2-8-08). Reached double figures in scoring five times. Had a season-high eight rebounds against Le Moyne College (12-28-07). Was third on the team in 3-pointers made with 30.

2006-07: Appeared in 27 games and started five times as a freshman for the Golden Eagles. Averaged 4.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. Had a season-high 14 points and four rebounds against West Coast Baptist (11-24-06). Had 11 points and five rebounds against Chico State (2-10-07) and 11 points and two rebounds against Cal State Stanislaus (2-9-07).

At Don Bosco Tech HS: Made the Dean’s List and President’s List for academic honors. Earned first-team All-League honors as a junior and senior. Team won the league championship during his junior season.

Personal: Son of Luis and Nola Polo. Majoring in art. Enjoys hoopin' and playing video games. Lists winning a certain game his junior year in high school and flying out to play Syracuse in an exhibition game as a freshman with Cal State L.A. as his most exciting experience in sports.
