Cal State LA Athletics

2012-13: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in 27 games and started 11 times. Played a total of 550 minutes. Averaged 9.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Was second on the team in scoring and fourth in rebounding. Scored a season-high 22 points and Chico State (2-23-13). Made his first start of the season and had 14 points and a season-high 12 rebounds against Cal State San Bernardino (2-1-13). Made his Cal State LA debut and scored 12 points in a 90-48 win over La Sierra (11-9-12). Reached double figures in scoring 14 times, including 11 of the last 13 games.

At El Camino College: Earned All-Conference honorable mention twice and was the team’s Most Inspirational Player in 2012. Averaged 10.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game and helped team to an 18-10 overall record and a pair of playoff victories.

At Long Beach Poly High School: Excelled in both football and basketball. Earned All-CIF honors twice and All-Moore League honors twice. Graduated from high school with a 3.0 grade point average.

Personal: Son of Vincent and Jacquelyn Camper. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys playing the piano and swimming. Lists making it to the Elite Eight with El Camino and winning a CIF championship in football at Long Beach Poly as his most exciting experiences in sports. Is the father of Julian Xavier Camper, Jr. Brother Vincent Camper also played at Cal State L.A.
