Biography

2009-10: Had a second outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in all 28 games and started 25 times. Played a total of 954 minutes. Averaged 14.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Led the team in scoring, rebounding and steals (24). Was also second on the team in assists with 49. Earned first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Had a career-high 36 points and five rebounds at San Francisco State (2-12-10). Also had 25 points and five rebounds in a 72-67 win over Cal State East Bay (1-3-10). Had 22 points and a career-high 18 rebounds in a 77-66 win at Holy Names (12-14-09). Was named the CCAA Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 14-20. Reached double figures in scoring 23 times and scored 20 or more points seven times. Reached double figures in rebounding four times. Had four double-doubles. For his career, appeared in 45 games and started 42. Played a total of 1,500 minutes. Averaged 15.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Also had 80 assists and 43 steals.

2008-09: Was one of the top players in the California Collegiate Athletic Association until an injury cut his season short after 17 games. Still earned All-CCAA second-team honors despite missing nearly the entire second half of conference play. Cal State L.A. was 10-7 when he got hurt and 2-8 after. Led the Golden Eagles in scoring with 16.5 points per game. Reached double figures in scoring 14 times and scored 20 or more points six times. Led the Golden Eagles in scoring 11 times. Had a season-high 27 points in an 82-69 win over Texas A&M International (12-17-08). Had 25 points and eight rebounds in an 89-80 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills (12-31-08), 24 points and a season-high six assists in an 80-70 win over Cal State Monterey Bay (1-9-09) and 23 points and a season-high nine rebounds in a 70-59 win over Sonoma State (1-23-09).

At Long Beach City College: Earned first-team All-Conference honors as a sophomore after averaging 21 points and nine rebounds per game. Helped the team reach the Elite 8 in the state playoffs in 2005-06 and to a pair of league championships.

At Long Beach Poly High School: Was on teams that won CIF championships in his sophomore and senior seasons. Was the CIF Player of the Year as a senior. Was a two-time team MVP and earned first-team All-Moore League honors twice.

Personal: Son of Monica Johnson. Majoring in fire protection administration and technology. Enjoys studying, sleeping and playing games. Lists winning two CIF championships and earning CIF Player of the Year honors in 2004 as his most exciting experiences in sports.
