At Loyola High School: Helped his team reach the CIF Championship game after averaging 19 points and nine rebounds per game. Earned first-team All-CIF and first-team All-League honors as a senior and was the team’s Most Valuable Player. Also earned first-team All-League honors and was named the team’s Most Improved Player as a junior.
