Biography

2010-11: Had another good season for the Golden Eagles in her third and final year with the program. Appeared in 16 games and started 15 times. Played a total of 378 minutes. Averaged 8.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Had a season-high 17 points and five rebounds at Cal State Monterey Bay (1-7-11). Had 14 points and a season-high 11 rebounds against San Diego Christian (11-20-10). Also had 15 points and six rebounds against Cal State San Bernardino (12-3-10). Reached double figures in scoring eight times and had one double-double. For her career, appeared in 69 games and started 39 times. Played a total of 1,470 minutes. Averaged 8.0 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

2009-10: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 26 games and started nine times. Was fourth on the team in scoring with 6.5 points per game. Also grabbed 5.0 rebounds per game, which was third on the team. Equaled her career high with 20 points and had eight rebounds against Cal State San Bernardino (2-20-10). Also had 16 points and six rebounds at Cal State Stanislaus (1-23-10). Recorded two double-doubles. Had 10 points and 10 rebounds in a win at Chico State (1-22-10) and had 11 points and 10 rebounds against Chico State in the season finale (2-26-10). Reached double figures in scoring seven times, including the last three games of the season. Earned CCAA All-Academic honors.

2008-09: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles. Shared the team lead in scoring with 9.0 points per game. Also averaged 4.8 rebounds per game, which was third on the team. Reached double figures in scoring 11 times. Had a season-high 20 points and seven rebounds at Humboldt State (2-26-09). Had a double-double with 12 points and a season-high 11 rebounds against Sonoma State (1-23-09). Also recorded 11 rebounds to go along with six points at Sonoma State (2-27-09) in the season finale. Had 16 points and five rebounds in a win at Cal State San Bernardino (1-31-09). Led the team in scoring 10 times. Was named the team’s Most Improved Player.

At Grossmont College: Earned first-team All-Pacific Coast Conference honors after averaging 15.1 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Led the conference in blocked shots. Was the team’s Most Valuable Player and earned a Team Scholar-Athlete award. Was on the President’s List for academics and had a 4.0 grade point average. Was the school’s Female Student-Athlete of the Year.

At Eastlake High School: Competed in volleyball, basketball and track and field. Averaged 17.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Earned first-team All-Mesa League honors and was a Scholar-Athlete all four years. School record-holder for rebounds. Most Inspirational Player in volleyball. Earned All-Academic Team honors in track and field and won a league titles in the discus. Was the school’s Athlete of the Year in 2006. Was a four-year varsity letterman in basketball and track and field. Earned All-Inspirational honors in volleyball. Graduated with honors and had a 4.2 grade point average. Was on the Dean’s List all four years.

Personal: Daughter of Christopher and Toni Taylor. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys movies, cooking, poetry and music. Lists making it to CIF in high school for the first time in 10 years as a senior as her most exciting experience in sports. Says she is looking forward to the upcoming season and the legacy she will be able to leave behind.
