Cal State LA Athletics

2010-11: Made meaningful contributions for the Golden Eagles in her second and final season with the program. Appeared in 17 games and started three times. Played a total of 154 minutes. Averaged 0.6 points and 0.9 rebounds per game. Hit a 3-pointer in her only attempt in a 61-54 win over Cal State East Bay (2-18-11) and also hit a 3-pointer against UC San Diego (2-19-11). For her career, appeared in 32 games with five starts. Played a total of 315 minutes. Averaged 0.5 points and 0.8 rebounds per game.

2009-10: Appeared in 15 games in her first season with the Golden Eagles and played a total of 111 minutes. Averaged 0.6 points and 0.9 rebounds per game. Had a season-high six points and knocked down a pair of 3-pointers at Sonoma State (12-5-09). Started the next two games for Cal State L.A. Had three points and hit a 3-pointer in a win over Academy of Art (12-12-09). Also grabbed a season-high four rebounds in that game.

At Cypress College: Earned second-team All-Conference honors as a sophomore and made the Dean’s List as a freshman. Was the team captain both seasons. Led the team with 56 three-point field goals and is sixth on the school’s all-time list for 3-pointers in a season. Was second on the team in scoring with 9.2 points per game. Started all 33 games as a sophomore for a team that finished 23-10. Averaged 4.3 points and 2.0 assists.

At St. Joseph High School: Was the team captain all four years in high school. Was on the school’s Honor Roll as a junior and senior and earned an Art Award as a sophomore. Once made nine 3-pointers in a game. Averaged 13.0 points per game.

Personal: Daughter of Michael and Janet Salemi. Majoring in business management/marketing. Enjoys cosmetology, the beach and music. Lists hitting a half-court shot before the halftime buzzer and winning the conference championship during her sophomore year at Cypress College as her most exciting experiences in sports.
