Summary

Biography

2008-09: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles. Shared the team lead in scoring with 9.0 points per game. Also averaged 4.8 rebounds per game, which was third on the team. Reached double figures in scoring 11 times. Had a season-high 20 points and seven rebounds at Humboldt State (2-26-09). Had a double-double with 12 points and a season-high 11 rebounds against Sonoma State (1-23-09). Also recorded 11 rebounds to go along with six points at Sonoma State (2-27-09) in the season finale. Had 16 points and five rebounds in a win at Cal State San Bernardino (1-31-09). Led the team in scoring 10 times. Was named the team’s Most Improved Player.
 
At Grossmont College: Earned first-team All-Pacific Coast Conference honors after averaging 15.1 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Led the conference in blocked shots. Was the team’s Most Valuable Player and earned a Team Scholar-Athlete award. Was on the President’s List for academics and had a 4.0 grade point average. Was the school’s Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
 
At Eastlake High School: Competed in volleyball, basketball and track and field. Averaged 17.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Earned first-team All-Mesa League honors and was a Scholar-Athlete all four years. School record-holder for rebounds. Most Inspirational Player in volleyball. Earned All-Academic Team honors in track and field and won a league titles in the discus. Was the school’s Athlete of the Year in 2006. Was a four-year varsity letterman in basketball and track and field. Earned All-Inspirational honors in volleyball. Graduated with honors and had a 4.2 grade point average.
 
Personal: Daughter of Christopher and Toni Taylor. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys movies, cooking, poetry and music. Lists making it to CIF in high school for the first time in 10 years as a senior, placing first in the league in discus in track and field and beating Cal State San Bernardino last year in San Bernardino as her most exciting experiences in sports.
