Cal State LA Athletics

2023-34: Saw playing time for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in four games and played a total of nine minutes. Averaged 0.3 points and 0.5 rebounds per game. Made his Cal State LA debut and scored one point in a season-high four minutes of an 88-65 win over Concordia (11-11-23). Also played in wins over Cal State Monterey Bay (12-7-23), Fresno Pacific (12-19-23) and Cal Poly Pomona (1-4-24).

At Glenville State: Appeared in three games for the Pioneers in 2022-23.

At San Diego Mesa College: Averaged 8.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Reached double figures in scoring 10 times. Had a season-high 20 points. Led the team in blocks and had five blocks in a game three times.

At San Diego High School: Averaged 15 points and five rebounds per game. Helped program win its first CIF championship in 10 years in 2018. Earned the Rising Star Award.

Personal: Son of Khadega Malik. Majoring in business. Enjoys chess, hiking and traveling. Lists scoring 30 points on Martin Luther King Day, a dominant double-double plus five blocks against Miramar and a 14-point, six-rebound performance in a win or go home game against Mira Costa as his most exciting experiences in sports. Notes he is Sundanese/Egyptian.
