Summary

Biography

2008-09: Had an outstanding third season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Appeared in 27 games and started 25 times. Played a total of 678 minutes. Averaged 9.0 points and 4,6 rebounds per game. Led the team in scoring and was fourth in rebounding. Also led the team with 43 assists and was third on the team with 28 steals. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Had a career-high 18 points and six rebounds against The Master's College (11-17-08). Was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line. Also had 17 points, three rebounds and three steals against Cal State Stanislaus (2-21-09). Had 17 points, four assists and four steals in a 71-69 win over Regis (11-22-08). Had eight points and a career-high 13 rebounds against Cal State San Bernardino (12-5-08). Reached double figures in scoring 13 times. For her career, appeared in 80 games with 71 starts. Played a total of 2,177 minutes. Averaged 8.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Also had 110 assists and 93 steals per game.

2007-08: Had an impressive second season with the Golden Eagles. Was third on the team in scoring and third in rebounding with 9.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Appeared in 26 games and started 25 times. Made 47.8 percent of her shots. Had a season high of 16 points in a pair of games. Had 16 points and four rebounds in a win over Cal State Stanislaus (1-25-08) and had 16 points and three rebounds against San Francisco State (2-22-08). Reached double figures in scoring 16 times, including seven of the last eight games. Closed the season with 15 points and six rebounds at Chico State (2-28-08) and 12 points and one rebound at Cal State Stanislaus (2-29-08). 

2006-07: Appeared in all 27 games and started 21 times for the Golden Eagles in her first season with the program. Averaged 7.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Scored a season-high 16 points against Grand Canyon (12-9-06). Had 12 points in six other contests. Reached double figures in scoring in 10 games, including four of the last five contests. Finished the season with 11 points and five rebounds against Cal Poly Pomona (3-2-07) and 12 points and four rebounds against Cal State San Bernardino (3-3-07).

At Sacramento City College: Was the team Most Valuable Player and earned All-Conference honors.

At Christian Brothers HS: Was the team Most Valuable Player all four years and received All-City honors twice. Also earned All-Conference honors twice and made seven All-Tournament teams. Earned Most Inspirational honors twice, the Coach’s Award twice and also made the Optimist team. Competed in basketball and track and field.

Personal: Daughter of Arthur Whittington and Karen Asher. Majoring in business marketing. Enjoys all sports, music, movies and shopping. Lists having 26 points, 15 rebounds and six steals in a playoff game and having it in the newspaper as her most exciting experience in sports.
