2022: Was limited to just five games due to injury in her final year with the program. Played a total of 103 minutes. Played a season-high 38 minutes in a 1-0 win over Biola on Sept. 14. Made her final appearance for the Golden Eagles and played 18 minutes in a 2-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 25. Earned a 2022-23 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award and 2022-23 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors. Also earned 2022 California Collegiate Athletic Association Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. For her career, appeared in 20 games with 14 starts. Played a total of 620 minutes.

2021: Made meaningful contributions for the Golden Eagles in her first year with the program. Appeared in 15 games with 14 starts. Played a total of 517 minutes. Made her Cal State LA debut and played a total of 24 minutes at Azusa Pacific on Sept. 18. Got her first start and played 26 minutes at Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 25. Played a season-high 50 minutes in a 1-0 win over Cal State San Marcos on Oct. 14. Earned 2021-22 CCAA All-Academic honors and 2021 CCAA Fall Honor Roll recognition.

At Texas Woman’s University: Earned Dean’s List recognition and was on the team roster in 2020.

At Eastlake High School: Was a soccer captain from 2016-20 and on the All-Academic Team in 2017 and 2019. Was part of a CIF championship team in 2018-19 and earned the Hardest Working Individual Award in 2018. Competed in soccer, track and field and cross country.

Personal: Daughter of Cheryl Matterson. Majoring in psychology. Enjoys reading on the beach, hiking, roadtrips and relaxing. Lists winning in PKs against San Francisco State in the CCAA Tournament and winning CIF open finals as her most exciting experiences in sports. Notes she spent her freshman year at Texas Woman’s University, but transferred home.
