Cal State LA Athletics

2007-08: Had a solid season for the Golden Eagles in her one year with the program. Appeared in 22 games and started 20 times. Played a total of 626 minutes. Averaged 5.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Led the team in rebounding and was also third in assists with 43. Had a season-high 14 points and nine rebounds at Cal Poly Pomona (1-5-08). Also had 11 points and seven rebounds in an 80-69 win over Humboldt State (11-30-07). Had six points and a season-high 13 rebounds against UC San Diego (1-12-08). Reached double figures in scoring twice and in rebounding five times.

At Delta College: Earned first-team All-Conference and third-team All-State honors. She averaged six points and six rebounds per game.

At East Union High School: Competed in volleyball, basketball and soccer in high school. Was the Valley Oak League Most Valuable Player and team won the league championship. Was also the team’s Most Valuable Player.

Personal: Daughter of Mario and Susan Herrera. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys eating. Lists playing in the state championship game at Delta as her most exciting experience in sports.
