Summary

Biography

2018: Had another outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Had best marks of 10.68 in the 100 meters and 22.07 in the 200. Finished third in the 100 at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships and earned All-CCAA honors. Was also part of Cal State LA's CCAA champion 4x100 relay team. Earned All-West Region honors as part of the 4x100 relay team. For his career, had best times of 10.68 in the 100 and 21.79 in the 200.

2017: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles. Had the team’s fastest time in the 100 with a mark of 10.81. Also had a best time of 21.79 in the 200. Was part of a 4x100 relay team that finished third in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.  Finished fourth in the
CCAA in the 200.

2016: Had a second outstanding season for the Golden Eagles. Finished fourth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships in  the 100 meters and was part of a conference champion 4x100 relay team. Earned All-West Region honors for a second season as part of Cal State LA’s 4x100 relay team. Had best marks of 10.70 in the 100 and 22.12 in the 200.

2015: Competed in the sprints as a freshman for the Golden Eagles. Had a best time of 10.83 in the 100. Earned All-West Region honors as part of the Cal State LA 4x100 relay team.

At Paramount High School: Completed his high school career as the school record holder in the 100 meters. Won league championships in the 100 in 2013 and 2014 and won a 200 title in 2014. Placed seventh in the 100 at the CIF Finals. Was the team’s Most Valuable Player and was a member of the principal’s Honor Roll.

Personal: Son of David Sherrills and Solisa Matthews. Majoring in biochemistry. Enjoys video games, dancing, hanging out with friends and eating food all over Los Angeles. Lists breaking the school 100 meter record and being the league champion two years in a row in high school and traveling across the United States and competing as his most exciting experiences in sports. Says ‘last year is going to be a breeze.”
