2016: Competed well for the Golden Eagles in her second and final year with the track and field program. Had best marks of 12:57.52 in the 3,000 meters, 21:26.89 in the 5,000 and 44:21.39 in the 10,000. For her career, had best marks of 5:42.16 in the 1,500, 12:34.15 in the 3,000, 21:26.89 in the 5,000 and 44:21.39 in the 10,000.

2015: Ran well for the Golden Eagles in her first year with the track and field program. Had best times of 5:42.16 in the 1,500 meters, 12:34.15 in the 3,000 and 22:15.05 in the 5,000. Competed for the Cal State LA cross country team in the fall and ran in four races. Had a best 6,000-meter time of 29:52.2 and a best 5,000-meter time of 24:51.2.

2014: Competed in two races for the Golden Eagles in cross country. Finished 100^th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a time of 30:00.0 over a 6,000-meter course.

At Montebello High School: Competed in basketball, cross country and track and field. Earned Most Improved and Most Valuable awards for running. Track team won an Almont League championship in 2011.

Personal: Daughter of Marcos and Rosa Garcia. Majoring in finance. Enjoys drawing. Lists being able to run at CIF for cross country as her most exciting experience in sports. Was a volunteer at the Special Olympic World Games in 2015.
