Cal State LA Athletics

2017: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Finished second in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in the long jump to earn all-conference honors. Advanced to nationals. Also finished 18th in the conference in the 100 meters. Had best marks of 12.77 in the 100, 27.43 in the 200 and 19-7.25 in the long jump. Also competed during the indoor season and had best marks of 8.43 in the 60 and 16-00.50 in the long jump. For her career, had best marks of 12.77 in the 100, 27.13 in the 200 and 19-7.25 in the long jump in outdoor track and field and 8.32 in the 60, 27.57 in the 200 and 16-00.75 in the long jump. 

2016: Had another strong season with the Golden Eagles. Had best marks of 13.09 in the 100 meters and 16-11.50 in the long jump. Finished 11^th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in the long jump. Also competed for Cal State LA’s indoor track and field team and had best marks of 8.32 in the 60 and 27.57 in the 200.

2015: Was a valuable member of the team in her second season with the Golden Eagles. Had best marks of 12.94 in the 100 meters, 27.13 in the 200 and 16-5.25 in the long jump.

2014: First season at Cal State LA was cut short because of injury. Had a best mark of 4-7.75 in the high jump early in the season.

At El Camino Compton College: Had best marks of 13.21 in the 100, 28.71 in the 200 and 65.55 in the 400 as a freshman in 2013. Was on the Dean’s List and graduated with honors.

At Cypress High School: Competed in track and field.

Personal: Daughter of Sean and Tina Fernandes. Majoring in biology. Enjoys eating, all kinds of makeup and traveling. Lists jumping 19 feet for the first time as her most exciting experience in sports.
