Cal State LA Athletics

2013: Did not compete in cross country, but ran for a second year with the Golden Eagle indoor and outdoor track and field teams (2014). Had best times of 26.72 in the 200 meters, 62.24 in the 400 and 2:35.14 in indoor track and field. Had best times of 12.52 in the 100, 25.30 in the 200, 63.13 in the 400 and 2:29.00 in the 800 in outdoor track and field.

2012: Trained with the cross country team in the fall. Did compete for the Cal State L.A. indoor and outdoor track and field teams in the winter and spring (2013). Had best times of 26.34 in the 200, 59.12 in the 400 and 2:21.92 in the 800 in the outdoor season. Also had the team’s best indoor time in the 800 meters at 2:22.86.

At Newbury Park High School: Competed in basketball, cross country and track and field. Earned All-Marmonte League honors all four years. Was part of a league championship 4x400 relay team and finished second in the 800. Won the 800 in the Ventura County Championships and was second in the CIF finals. Advanced to the CIF state meet and the CIF Masters. Had best times of 12.27 in the 100, 24.97 in the 200, 56.51 in the 400, 2:11.73 in the 800 and 5:19.11 in the 1,500. Was a Scholar-Athlete.

Personal: Daughter of Tony and Chairs Thompson. Majoring in nursing. Enjoys family time. Lists going to state in the 800 meters and recording the third-fastest 800 time in Ventura County history as her most exciting experiences in sports. Has a twin sister, Morgan, who also runs track.
