Cal State LA Athletics

2015: Completed her Cal State LA career with a solid indoor season. Had a best mark of 2:33.60 in the 800 meters. For her career, had best marks of 5:02.30 in the 1,500, 11:40.85 in the 3,000 steeplechase and 20:00.07 in the 5,000 in outdoor track. Finished her career No. 7 all-time at Cal State LA in the steeplechase. Had a best time of 2:33.60 in the indoor 800. 

2014: Ran well once again for Cal State L.A.’s track and field team in the spring. Had best times of 5:02.30 in the 1,500, 11:40.85 in the 3,000 steeplechase and 20:00.07 in the 5,000. Her time in the 3,000 steeplechase is No. 7 all-time at Cal State L.A. Finished eighth in the conference in the 3,000 steeplechase. Ran well for the cross country program in the fall. Was a consistent top-five runner during the season. Finished 82^nd in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a time of 26:17.4 over a 6,000-meter course. Also placed 151^st in the NCAA West Regional with a time of 25:37.7 over 6,000 meters. Had a best 5,000-meter course time of 22:06.9 at the UC Irvine Invitational.

2013: Competed well for Cal State L.A.’s track and field team in the spring. Had best times of 5:08.12 in the 1,500 meters and 12:08.61 in the 3,000 steeplechase.Competed for the Golden Eagle cross country team in the fall and ran in five races, including the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. Posted her best 6,000-meter time of 25:56.5 at the conference meet.

At Modesto Junior College: Made the All-Times list and was a Big 8 Conference runner-up in cross country. Was a two-time state qualifier in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

At Ceres High School: Competed in soccer and cross country.

Personal: Daughter of Javier and Rosa Miranda. Majoring in nutrition. Enjoys cooking, drawing and skating. Notes she has never worn braces.
