MONMOUTH, OREGON -- Cal State LA's women's cross country team completed its season on Saturday in the NCAA Division II West Regionals.
The Golden Eagles finished 28th in a field of 28 of the best teams in the region with a total of 873 points. Chico State and Cal Poly Pomona of the California Collegiate Athletic Association took the top two spots, while Western Washington, Biola and Stanislaus State rounded out the top-five.
Mikaela Holguin had the top finish for the Golden Eagles, finishing 168th in a field of 191 runners with a time of 24:11.61 over a 6,000-meter course at the Ash Creek Preserve.
Nelly Garnica was next, placing 170th in 24:14.06.
Miyoko Mataalii was 178th in 24:53.24,
Marina Zeferino was 182nd in 25:48.61 and
Jasmine Trujillo was 188th in 27:40.22 to complete Cal State LA's top-five.
Dalia Romo was 190th for the Golden Eagles in 28:18.18.
