CHICO -- Cal State LA's women's cross country team competed Friday in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships.
The Golden Eagles, with only five runners competing, finished 10th out of 11 teams at the conference championships. Cal State LA finished with 332 points.
Chico State won the conference title with 25 points with five runners in the top-nine and seven in the top-13. Stanislaus State was second with 39 points and Cal Poly Pomona was third with 85 points.
Nelly Garnica was Cal State LA's No. 1 runner on Friday, placing 90th with a time of 25:38.0 over a 6,000-meter course at Hooker Oak Park.
Mikaela Holguin was next, finishing 91st in 25:40.3,
Miyoko Mataalii was 93rd in 26:13.0,
Dalia Romo was 99th in 28:29.4 and
Jasmine Trujillo was 101st in 28:35.4.
