RIVERSIDE -- Cal State LA's women's cross country team competed Saturday in its final race before next week's conference championships in Chico.
The Golden Eagles finished 10th out of 14 teams with 202 points in the women's open division of the UC Riverside Highlander Classic.
Marina Zeferino had the top individual performance for Cal State LA, finishing 24th with a time of 24:02.7 over a 6,000-meter UCR-Agg Course. Zeferino was the team's No. 1 runner for a second straight meet.
Mikaela Holguin was next for the Golden Eagles, placing 34th in 24:26.6.
Nelly Garnica was 43rd in 24:56.8,
Miyoko Mataalii was 46th in 25:12.1 and
Dalia Romo was 83rd in 27:45.0 to complete Cal State LA's top-five.
Jasmin Trujillo was 87th for the Golden Eagles with a time of 28:09.5.
Cal State LA will compete next at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships hosted by Chico State next Friday at the Hooker Oak Recreation Area at Bidwell Park.
