LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's men's soccer team, which recorded two more shutouts last week against Great Northwest Athletic Conference opponents, remains ranked third in the national poll released by the United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday.
Cal State LA has been ranked No. 3 in the last two polls after beginning the season ranked fifth in the nation in the preseason poll released by the organization in August.

Diego Bravo in a 1-0 win at Western Washington and then got two saves from Bravo in a 0-0 tie at Seattle Pacific on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles have achieved their highest ranking since they were No. 2 on Sept. 19, 2023. Cal State LA spent eight weeks in the top-five in 2023, including the final poll of the season, and was No. 2 for back-to-back polls in early September of last year.
Two-time defending champion Franklin Pierce is No. 1 in the poll for a third straight week, while Lynn jumped from No. 4 to No. 2 after pushing its record to 3-0. After Cal State LA, Wingate University and Auburn University Montgomery round out the top-five.
Cal State LA has earned a Top-5 spot in the national poll in five consecutive seasons and a Top-10 spot in six straight seasons..
Cal State LA has made an appearance in the national poll for the 19th consecutive season, a streak that started in 2005.

The Golden Eagles have reached the Top-18 in the national poll in 18 straight seasons, beginning in 2006, and have been in the Top-10 in 15 of the past 17 seasons, a streak that began in 2007.
Cal State LA has achieved a Top-5 ranking for the ninth time in the past 16 seasons dating back to 2008.
Cal State LA is joined by fellow CCAA program Cal Poly Pomona at No. 10 in the rankings.Â
The Golden Eagles will play their first home game of the season on Friday against Colorado School of Mines at 7 p.m. and conclude the week with a Sunday home game against MSU Denver at 2 p.m.
