NORTHRIDGE -- Cal State LA's women's track and field team picked up a win from
Sanaia Woods in the 400 meters to highlight the Golden Eagles' performances at the CSUN Invitational hosted by Cal State Northridge.
Woods led the field with a winning time of 57.88, just ahead of teammate
Dericka Braden, who finished second in 58.38. Both Woods and Braden recorded new season's bests on Saturday.
Eden Hahn finished ninth in the 100 with a time of 12.88.
Javany McDermott was third in the triple jump with a new season's best of 38-7.50 and
Pamela Grissom finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 38-3.25.
On Friday, McDermott was fourth in the long jump with a mark of 17-3.50, Woods was sixth in the 200 with a time of 25.59 and
Ja'Narie Rhambo was fifth in the hammer with a mark of 137-8.
Cal State LA will return to action next Saturday in the Brutus Hamilton Invitational at Cal Berkeley.
