ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Cal State LA's indoor track and field team competed well on Friday in the opening day of the two-day New Mexico Collegiate Classic.
Javany McDermott had the best individual finish of the day for the Golden Eagles, placing fourth in the high jump with a mark of 5-3.25.
Ja'Narie Rhambo also had a top-ten finish after placing eighth in the weight throw with a mark of 51-9.
Alyssa Johnson was 16th in the long jump with a mark of 15-5.
Five Golden Eagles ran in the 200 meters, led by
Eden Hahn, who finished 17th with a time of 25.59.
Sanaia Woods was 22nd in 25.98,
Dericka Braden was 34th in 26.55,
Alyssa Johnson was 39th in 28.33 and
Rachel Trunnel was 41st in 28.98.
The meet will conclude on Saturday.
