RIVERSIDE -- Cal State LA's men's cross country team returned to action on Saturday at the Highlander Invitational hosted by UC Riverside.
The Golden Eagles finished 23rd overall with 692 points in a field that included several NCAA Division I teams. NCAA Division II power Adams State won the race and was followed by Azusa Pacific and Cal State Fullerton.
Jesus Nichol II had the top Cal State LA finish once again, placing 126th in a field of 276 runners with a time of 26:12.0 over an 8,000-meter course.
Michael Diaz was next, placing 183rd with a time of 27:14.0.
Adrian Sixtos was 217th in 28:03.9,
Joshua Lovato was 244th in 29:00.2 and
Riley Williams was 267th in 31:43.5.Â
Cal State LA will return to action on Friday at the John Elders Titan Invite in the Golden Eagles' last competition before the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships on Nov. 5.
