LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's baseball team has had its 2019 season opener against Biola rained out for a second straight day. Due to the heavy rains over the past few days, field conditions were unplayable and the decision to cancel the game was made Tuesday afternoon.
No makeup date has been announced.
Cal State LA's season opener will now be on Friday in the first of four games at Dixie State. The Golden Eagles will face the host Trailblazers on Friday at 3 p.m. (2 p.m. PST). Cal State LA will also face Dixie State (3-1) on Saturday at 3 p.m. (2 p.m. PST) before facing Colorado Mesa later that day at 6:30 p.m. (5:30 PST). The Golden Eagles' first trip will conclude with a single game against Colorado Mesa on Sunday at noon (11 a.m. PST).
Cal State LA's home opener will now be on Friday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. in the first game of a four-game California Collegiate Athletic Association series against Cal State San Bernardino. The Golden Eagles will also host a single game on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. before the series concludes with a doubleheader at Cal State San Bernardino on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m.
