LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's women's tennis team finished what it started Thursday in an important victory over Concordia.
The Golden Eagles, who swept all three doubles points when the match started on Tuesday, got two quick singles wins on Thursday to complete a match that had been postponed by rain. Cal State LA (6-7) won two of three singles matches completed on Thursday and recorded a 5-1 win over Concordia (6-7).
After Concordia's Ghazal Pakbaten completed a win over Cal State LA's 
Amanda Schneider at No. 2 singles to make it 3-1, Cal State LA's 
Mariko Sagara wrapped up a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles over Kathrine Jensen to make it 4-1. 
Chelsey Ruiz earned the clinching point for the Golden Eagles when she battled back from 0-40 in the final game to finish a 6-4, 6-3 win over Ghada Al-Ajeeley. 
Luciana Di Laura was just one game short of a victory at No. 3 singles when the match was called. Di Laura had just broken serve to take a 6-2, 5-4, lead over Johanna Keeline. 
The Golden Eagles swept the three doubles points before the rains came on Tuesday afternoon to take control of the match.
Elizaveta Sokolova and Schneider beat Pakbaten and Al-Ajeely, 8-3, at No. 1 doubles, Di Laura and 
Isabella Lopez beat Samantha Schuster and Keeline, 8-6, at No. 2 doubles and Ruiz and Sagara beat Ashley Glick and Anastasiia Kuprina at No. 3 doubles, 8-4.
