The Golden Eagles built a 2-0 lead, dropped the third set and then pulled away in the fourth set to complete a 25-19, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18 victory over the Toros in the Eagles Nest. Cal State LA (16-7, 8-6 CCAA) pulled into a three-way tie for fifth in the conference, just one game out of third.

Cal State Dominguez Hills, though, bounced back impressively to take the third set and held a 13-10 lead in the fourth before the Golden Eagles stormed back. A kill by Lofrano broke a 14-14 tie and started the Golden Eagles on a 9-0 run largely behind the serving of Resch. A kill by Lofrano got the Golden Eagles to match point and a kill by Alcaraz eventually ended the contest.
Cal State LA will return to action on Tuesday with a CCAA match at Cal State San Marcos.
