Summary

Biography

2016: Concluded her Cal State LA career with a second tremendous season. Was fourth on the team in kills with 213, fourth in service aces with 14, fifth in digs with 159 and fourth in blocks with 48. Had a career-high 18 kills in a five-set match at Colorado Mines on Sept. 3. Also had 15 kills in a five-set match at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 21 and 14 kills in a five-set win over Cal State San Marcos on Oct. 18. Reached double figures in kills nine times. Notched a career-high six blocks in California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship Tournament match against Sonoma State on Nov. 17. For her career, appeared in 55 matches and 201 sets. Had 435 kills, 33 service aces, 369 digs, 90 blocks and 520 points.

2015: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles and was one of the top newcomers in the conference. Appeared in all 30 matches for the Golden Eagles and played in 108 of the team’s 109 sets. Was third on the team with 229 kills and was fourth on the team with 19 service aces. Had a season-high 17 kills in a four-set win over Lewis on Sept. 4. Also had 15 kills, 20 digs and four blocks against Cal State San Bernardino on Nov. 13. Reached double figures in kills eight times. Reached double figures in digs six times, including a season-high 24 in a five-set win at Cal State Dominguez Hills.

At Mt. San Jacinto College: Led the state in kills both seasons with the program. Had 525 kills as a freshman in 2013 and 567 in 2014. Was the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player as a sophomore and a two-time team Most Valuable Player. Was named the MVP of the San Diego City College Tournament.

At Heritage High School: Helped her team reach the CIF semi-finals and a co-championship in league as a senior.

At Paloma Valley High School: Was the team’s Most Valuable Player. Earned first-team All-League and All-Valley recognition. Was named the team’s Most Inspirational Player twice.

Personal: Daughter of David and Erin Kushner and Aurelio and Lisa Solis. Majoring in liberal studies. Enjoys working out, volleyball and basketball. Lists beating Mt. SAC and having 38 kills and Sophomore Night at Mt. San Jacinto, taking Mt. SAC to five sets as her most exciting experiences in sports. Notes she is a volunteer coach at Valley Wide Recreation Park & District in Menifee.
