Cal State LA Athletics

2017: Had a third strong season with the Golden Eagles in her final season with the program. Appeared in 27 matches and 99 sets. Was fourth on the team in digs with 179 and third in service aces with 13. Also had 24 assists. Had a season-high 19 digs in a five-set win over Dominican om Sept. 8. Reached double figures in digs three times. For her career, appeared in 74 matches and 255 sets. Had 579 digs and 34 service aces.

2016: Enjoyed her best season with the Golden Eagles and led the team in digs with 304. Averaged 3.20 digs per set. Had a career-high 24 digs in a five-set match at Colorado Mines on Sept. 3. Also had 20 digs in a four-set win at Cal State San Marcos on Sept. 16 and 20 digs in a five-set match at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 21. Reached double figures in digs 19 times. Also had 15 service aces, including a career-high four in a four-set win at Humboldt State on Oct. 28. Was also on Cal State LA’s beach volleyball roster in the spring (2017).

2015: Showed great improvement and appeared in 22 matches for Cal State LA. Finished with 96 digs in 61 sets. Had a season-high 15 digs in a five-set win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 16. Also had 13 digs in a five-set win at Cal Poly Pomona on Nov. 11. Had a pair of service aces in a three-set win over Chico State on Sept. 19.

2014: Did not compete for the Golden Eagles in her first year with the program.

At Rancho Cucamonga High School: Earned first-team All-Baseline League and first-team All-Inland Valley honors as a senior, second-team All-Baseline League honors as a junior and All-Baseline League honorable mention as a sophomore. Was on an undefeated junior varsity team as a freshman.  Team won the 2013 Baseline League title.

Personal: Daughter of Vicente Giron and Magdaly Arriola. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys watching “The Office,” hiking, going to Dodger games and playing Uno with Kat.
