A layup by Munzon and a pair of free throws by Tillman brought the Golden Eagles to within six points, 37-31, with 18:40 to go, but that was as close as Cal State L.A. would get.

Jordan Richard and a jumper by
Willie Trimble with six minutes to play, but Cal State L.A. managed only seven points the rest of the way as Cal Poly Pomona pulled away.
