NORTHRIDGE – Cal State L.A.'s women's tennis team found the going tough Friday in a match against NCAA Division I Cal State Northridge.
The Golden Eagles were unable to earn a point in a 7-0 loss to the Matadors at the Matador Tennis Complex. Cal State L.A. lost all six singles matches in straight sets and lost the three doubles contests as well. In Division I scoring, doubles is worth one point.
Kiss battled well at No. 1 singles before falling to Brooke Doane, 6-4, 6-1 and Sangria had a strong first set in a 6-4, 6-2 loss at No. 3 singles to Whitney Paluch. Majzlikova and Prevost also played well in the first set of their matches at No. 3 and No. 6 singles.
Cal State L.A.'s match with UC San Diego, scheduled for Saturday, has been pushed back to Sunday at noon because of expected rain.
