Ohberg was named the CCAA Track & Field Athlete of the Year after winning conference championships in the 1,500 and 5,000 and she was presented with the Billie Jean King Award as Cal State L.A.'s top female athlete in 2012-13 at the Golden Eagles' athletic banquet earlier this month.

Ohberg, a senior from Uddevalla, Sweden, became the first Cal State L.A. student-athlete to win the CCAA's prestigious Scholar-Athlete of the Year award since Stuart Richmond of men's track and field in 2005. She is the first Golden Eagle to win the female award since Kasey Jungwirth of volleyball in 2001.
