Summary

Biography

2016: Had a tremendous season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Earned two second-team All-America honors after finishing 10th in the country in the 100 meters and 11th in the 200. Earned All-West Region honors in the 100, 200 and 4x400 relay. Won California Collegiate Athletic Association championships in the 100 and 200 and was named the CCAA Track Athlete of the Meet. Also earned all-conference honors as part of Cal State LA's 4x100 relay team that finished third in the conference. Had best marks of 11.83 in the 100, 24.01 in the 200 and 57.18 in the 400. Also competed well during the indoor season. Had best marks of 7.79 in the 60 and 25.39 in the 200. For her career, had best marks of 11.83 in the 100, 24.01 in the 200, 57.18 in the 400 and 2:21.92 in the 800 in outdoor track and 7.79 in the 60, 25.39 in the 200, 62.24 in the 400 and 2:22.86 in the 800 in indoor track. Finished her career No. 7 all-time at Cal State LA in the 60, No. 7 all-time in the 200 and No. 10 all-time in the 800 in indoor track. 

2015: Had a strong third season of competition for the Golden Eagles. Had best marks of 12.51 in the 100, 25.74 in the 200 and 64.16 in the 400. Had the team’s fastest 100-meter time and was second on the team in the 200.

2014: Competed well in her second season for the Golden Eagles. Had best marks of 12.52 in the 100 meters, 25.30 in the 200, 63.13 in the 400 and 2:29.00 in the 800 in outdoor track and field. Also had best times of 26.72 in the 200, 62.24 in the 400 and 2:35.14 during the indoor season.

2013: Had a solid first season of competition for the Golden Eagles. Had best times of 26.34 in the 200, 59.12 in the 400 and 2:21.92 in the 800 in the outdoor season. Also had the team’s best indoor time in the 800 meters at 2:22.86.

2012: Attended Cal State L.A. and trained with the track and field team, but did not compete. Also trained with the cross country team in the fall.

At Newbury Park High School: Competed in basketball, cross country and track and field. Earned All-Marmonte League honors all four years. Was part of a league championship 4x400 relay team and finished second in the 800. Won the 800 in the Ventura County Championships and was second in the CIF finals. Advanced to the CIF state meet and the CIF Masters. Had best times of 12.27 in the 100, 24.97 in the 200, 56.51 in the 400, 2:11.73 in the 800 and 5:19.11 in the 1,500. Was a Scholar-Athlete.

Personal: Daughter of Tony Thompson. Majoring in nursing. Enjoys family time. Lists going to state in the 800 meters and recording the third-fastest 800 time in Ventura County history as her most exciting experiences in sports. Has a twin sister, Morgan, who also runs track.
2012: Attended Cal State L.A. and trained with the track and field team, but did not compete last year. Also trained with the cross country team in the fall.
