Summary

Biography

2018-19: Had a third outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Went 12-6 in singles, all in dual matches. Had an 11-5 mark at No. 2 singles and was 1-1 at No. 3 singles. Had a 10-8 record in doubles, including a 5-1 mark at No. 3 doubles with Mariko Sagara. Earned second-team All-PacWest Conference honors. Also earned Academic All-Pac West honors for a third straight year. Earned the athletic department's Spirit and Courage Award. For her career, had a 42-17 record in singles and a  44-23 record in doubles. Finished her career No. 3 all-time in doubles victories and seventh in singles wins. Recorded a total of 77 points in dual matches in her career.

2017-18: Had a second outstanding season with the Golden Eagles. Had a 14-6 overall record in singles, including an 11-4 mark in dual matches. Was 7-1 at No. 3 singles, 2-0 at No. 4 singles and 2-3 at No. 2 singles. Earned third-team All-PacWest honors in singles and was ranked 40th in the nation in the final ITA rankings. Also had a 13-9 overall record in doubles, including an 11-9 mark in dual matches with partner Isabella Lopez. Earned Academic All-PacWest honors and also ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition. Has 30 singles wins in her first two years with the program. 

2016-17: Had a sensational first season with the Golden Eagles. Had a 16-5 overall record in singles, including a 14-4 mark in dual matches. Earned the team’s biggest win of the year, a three-set victory at No. 5 singles against Azusa Pacific in the PacWest Championships that decided the match. Teamed up to post a 19-5 record in doubles with Elizaveta Sokolova that included a 17-4 mark in dual matches. Team won its last five matches, including all three contests in the PacWest Conference Championships. Earned Academic All-PacWest Conference honors.

At Lamar University: Recorded a 5-7 singles record in dual matches, including a 4-4 record in Southland Conference play. Played matches at No. 5 and No. 6 singles. Also won eight matches in doubles and was 8-7 at No. 2 doubles. Also went 4-1 in doubles with three different partners and 3-4 in singles in the fall.

At Villa Maria-La-Planicie High School: Was a top junior player in Peru. A member of the No. 1-ranked doubles team in the country and No. 2-ranked in singles. Won several tournaments at the junior level and was a finalist in several international tournaments.

Personal: Daughter of Salvador Di Laura and Sylvia La Torre. Majoring in theatre. Enjoys singing, dancing, acting and shows for kids. Lists winning the deciding point against Azusa Pacific at the PacWest Conference Championships, beating a doubles team from BYU-Hawaii, also at the PacWest Championships, and beating Hawaii Pacific in a dual match at Cal State LA as her most exciting experiences in sports.
