Summary

Biography

2018-19: Was a top player and team leader in her fourth and final season with the program. Had a 12-9 overall record in singles, including an 11-8 mark in dual matches. Was 6-5 at No. 3 singles and 5-3 at No. 4 singles. Had a 10-10 overall record in doubles, including a 9-9 mark at No. 1 doubles, including a 3-2 record with Luciana Di Laura and a 6-7 record with Amanda Schneider. For her career, had a 46-39 overall record in singles, including a 42-32 mark in dual matches. Had a 50-43 record in doubles, including a 44-37 in dual matches. Recorded a total of 86 points in dual matches in her career. Finished her career tied for fifth in singles wins and tied for third in doubles wins in program history.

2017-18: Continued to be a major part of the program in her third season with the Golden Eagles. Had a 12-15 overall record in singles, including a 10-11 in dual matches. Had a 5-3 record at No. 4 singles, a 5-6 record at No. 3 singles and a 0-2 record at No. 2 singles. Also had a 13-9 record in doubles with partner Luciana Di Laura, including an 11-6 mark in dual matches. Was 16-11 overall and 14-8 in dual matches.

2016-17: Was a big part of the team in her second season with the Golden Eagles as a sophomore. Had an overall record of 11-9 in singles, including 10-7 in dual matches. Was 3-0 at No. 5 singles and 7-7 at No. 6 singles. Had a 13-10 record in doubles, including an 11-8 record at No. 2 doubles with partner Iris Raileanu. Won all three of her doubles matches in the PacWest Conference Championships, including the No. 2 team from BYU-Hawaii that was ranked No. 4 in the nation. Earned Academic All-PacWest Conference recognition for a second straight year. Received the team’s Most Improved Player award.

2015-16: Had a strong first season with the Golden Eagles as a freshman. Earned a spot in the starting lineup and recorded an 11-6 record in singles at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots. Went 7-4 at No. 5 singles and 4-2 at No. 6 singles. Also picked up 10 wins in doubles with two different partners. Earned Academic All-PacWest Conference recognition.

At Warren High School: Won the Golden Bear Award for tennis in 2011-15. Earned a Golden Bear Award for math in 2015. Also won the tennis achievement award from 2011-15 and received an award for having a 3.0 grade point average.

Personal: Daughter of Manuel and Sylvia Lopez. Majoring in business marketing. Enjoys reading and running. Lists beating BYU Hawaii’s doubles team, ranked No. 4 in the nation, with Iris Raileanu at the 2017 PacWest Championships as her most exciting experience in sports.
