2011: Competed well for the Golden Eagles in his second and final season with the program. Finished 12th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in the 1,500 meters. Had best times of 54.95 in the 400, 2:06.01 in the 800, 4:23.29 in the 1,500 and 10:07.27 in the 3,000. For his career, had best marks of 54.95 in the 400, 2:06.01 in the 800, 4:18.26 in the 1,500 and 10:07.27 in the 3,000.

2010: Had a solid first season for the Golden Eagles. Had the team’s best mark in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:18.26. Also had a best time of 2:06.44 in the 800 meters. Finished 11^th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships in the 1,500 and also competed in the 800 meters.

At Banning High School: Competed in cross country, basketball, track and field and tennis in high school. Earned All-League second-team honors as a sophomore and junior in cross country. Team reached the CIF Finals in his senior year and qualified for the CIF prelims in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Was the team captain as a senior. Had a best time of 17:17 in cross country.

Personal: Son of Gabino and Maricela Sanchez. Majoring in mechanical engineering. Enjoys listening to music, running, basketball, biking and learning about technology. Lists advancing to CIF-SS finals in cross country and every PR in cross country and track as his most exciting experiences in sports.
