Biography

2021: Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19 in his final year with the program.

2020: Competed for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program before the season was halted after three meets. Had a best time of 12.66 in the 100 meters.

At South El Monte High School: Earned first-team All-League honors on defense in football in high school. Also competed in track and field.

Personal: Son of Thomas and Liliana Ortiz. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys working on his car, hanging out with friends, and enjoying quality time with his family. Lists making an interception and returning it 110 yards for a touchdown and becoming the second-fastest runner in the history of his high school as his most exciting experiences in sports.
